How It Works

Corn

  1. Pick out the Best Wood Barn that you like the best.
  2. Consider any options that you may want to add. You will find options available for each specific plan by clicking on that barn plan.
  3. Contact our office – we will be glad to assist you. Our office and/or sales rep will prepare a custom itemized proposal for you and send it via email.
  4. Once you are satisfied with the proposal; we will then prepare a sales contract for your review. The proposal will become an attachment to the contract.
  5. We will ask you for: Your address, the address where your Best Wood Barn package will be delivered, and the approximate date you are looking to build. The contract will then be emailed to you.
  6. We will, at point of contract, ask for a 60% deposit. We accept MasterCard, Visa, and checks – whether certified or personal.
  7. Once we have received a hard, signed copy via USPS mail of the original contract along with the deposit – that’s when the fun starts.
  8. You can expect to receive – within 3 weeks – your Best Wood Barns blueprints. Once you have reviewed the prints, (and your sales rep will follow up to make sure you are happy), this same set of prints will go to our mill.
  9. Your lumber package will transform from whole logs into fresh cut rough sawn lumber. Our mill is capable of cutting a standard barn in two (2) to three (3) days; depending on how many barns are sold and are on the schedule to be milled.
  10. While the milling is taking place, your doors will be custom built, and your concrete brackets will be welded.
  11. As this process is wrapping up (and it has a tendency to happen VERY quickly), you will be contacted by our Corporate office. They will ask you for the final 40% due as well as discuss shipping.
  12. Once final payment is received, we will schedule a firm date to ship.
  13. Your lumber package will arrive labeled and bundled, wrapped, and on pallets.
  14. You or your builder will need to unload the package – via heavy duty forklift. We STRONGLY recommend hiring this out – a qualified forklift operator is a NECESSITY. You will be 14) asked to sign a standard Bill of Lading – which itemizes exactly what material you have received.

As you or your builder are erecting the barn, feel free to contact either our Corporate office or your sales representative with any questions you may have. We promise a 24 hour turn around – however 95% of any questions can be answered immediately.

We thank you for and value your business!!
